2011 Alyssa Pinot Noir
The beautiful deep hue of the 2011 Alyssa hints at its violet and black cherry core. The nose is rich and alluring with layers of earth and spice indicative of the vineyard coupled with blackberry, cedar and sandalwood offering hints of vanilla bean and cola. The attack on the pallet is nicely balanced with plush fruit and bright acidity enveloped with minerality, subtle oak and silky tannins creating a finish that lingers in the mouth. While approachable now, patience will be rewarded as this wine will continue to evolve in the cellar.
