2013 Bella Pinot Noir
Bella is a small lot wine specially crafted for our wine club members blending the best barrels of younger vine, volcanic soil, high-density Dijon 777 from the top of the vineyard and older vine, sedimentary soil, Dijon 115 from the bottom of the property. The wine is beautiful in the glass, exhibiting deep red rose with blue undertones. The aromatics are rich combining an earthy nose of dried orange peel, violets, cardamom and forest loam. The attack on the pallet is smooth and luscious with a bright mid pallet and a lingering finish layered with sandalwood, and black cherry with a hint of muscovado sugar. The bright acidity is rounded out with sweet lingering tannins. While approachable young, this wine will age beautifully.
