2017 BELLA 95pt Pinot Noir 750 ml
2017 Bella Pinot Noir
The 2017 wines started fermentation and finished barrel ageing beautifully clean, going from barrel to bottle unfiltered; rich, distinct and elegant in the glass. The Bella Pinot noir aromatics speak of wild strawberries, fresh cut hay, hints of soft chocolate, leather and lavender. The approach is lush, bright and balanced in the mouth with its expressive red fruit lifted by savory tannins balancing a vibrant acidity. This wine will benefit from time in the bottle ageing beautifully through 2040.

"Bella shows off with briary aromas of sweet, ripe red cherries and the scent of a warm raspberry turnover straight from the oven. The wine’s texture is smooth and elegant, with integrated tannins and acidity that caresses instead of tickling. A tart marionberry flavor melds beautifully with notes of thyme, nutmeg, and cedar" - Michael Alberty

"Lively tension and a sophisticated frame define the 2017 Dukes Family Vineyard Bella Pinot Noir from the Eola-Amity Hills, which underwent a pristine fermentation and was bottled without filtration. The palate offers a supple, mouth-coating texture where tart pomegranate, mountain raspberry, and dried herbal notes gain complex support from rugged, savory tannins. Emerging from the glass are secondary layers of dried earth, sun-warmed sandalwood, and a touch of cocoa nib that provide an earthy counterpoint to the high-toned floral aromatics. This library release remains incredibly youthful and energetic, possessing the structural integrity to evolve gracefully in the cellar through 2040" - Jeremy Young
