2020 Nipple Hill Pinot Noir
Nipple Hill is crimson in color and twinkles back at you in the glass. The earthy nose is rich with strawberry preserves, orange peel and sandalwood. The approach is savory and intricate with dark chocolate, black cherry, cola and spices of cardamom and nutmeg. The tannins are luxurious and exquisitely integrated, with the long finish hinting at vanilla.
Due to the close wood contact with the grapes, the wine develops slowly and evenly with significantly lower heat and a longer, gentler fermentation. This style of winemaking adds complexity of layered essence in the profiles ending with beautifully integrated flavors and tannins
