Nipple Hill Pinot Noir Vertical 3 Bottle Set - Vintages - 2015, 2016, 2017
2015 Nipple Hill: Nipple Hill Pinot noir crafted from single barrel fermentation parades in front of your eye with a deep garnet color and flashes of indigo as the wines swirls in the glass. There are deep notes of cherry, cigar, cocoa and cola. Savory and spicy with hints of wild strawberry, cinnamon and clove mingled with hints of oregano, thyme and orange peel. The finish is long and rich with a lovely balance of acidity and supple tannins. Kelly Kidneigh, Winemaker
2016 Nipple Hill: Crafted in an old world style with one ton French oak barrels serving as the fermentation vessels. The wine develops slowly and evenly with significantly lower heat and a longer, gentler fermentation. This style of winemaking adds complexity of layered essence in the profiles ending with beautifully integrated flavors and tannins.
The Nipple Hill Pinot Noir exhibits a dark ruby color similar to pomegranate seeds and deep purple tones of a Japanese eggplant. The nose is classic Nipple Hill; savory and thyme with smoked and stewed meats, just a hint of sweet fruit layered under the earth. Bright cherry juice, cocoa and warm spice of nutmeg and orange peel make up the luscious but lean palate. The finish is a lovely balance of acidity and supple tannins. Kelly Kidneigh, Winemaker
